- Designed specifically for Ford 6.0L/7.3L Powerstroke diesel engines, covering 1994–2007 for F-Series Super Duty trucks and for E-Series vans. Comes with a dedicated 7.3L for Powerstroke high-pressure oil system IPR air test fitting, matching the engine’s high-pressure oil circuit structure. A practical diagnostic tool for 6.0L-7.3L for Powerstroke engine maintenance and leak repair, meeting the needs of mechanics and truck owners
- Hard hot-start problems in 6.0 for Powerstroke engines often stem from leaks in the high-pressure oil system that powers fuel injectors. Leaks may occur at the high-pressure oil pump, IPR valve, STC fitting, branch tubes, standpipes, dummy plugs, oil rail ball tube o-rings, or injector inlet seals. This diagnostic tool helps locate the exact leak source, addressing hot-start failures caused by insufficient 520 PSI system pressure
- Capable of detecting leaks of various sizes in the high-pressure oil system, this tester replaces the IPR valve to fully seal the system, reducing interference from residual IPR valve leakage during traditional testing. It works with systems featuring the latest updated standpipes, where conventional methods may fail. The heavy-duty hydraulic hose is rated up to 5,300 PSI for stable performance under high-pressure conditions, suitable for professional workshops
- Unlike traditional testing methods that need expensive scan tools or standalone IPR driver tools (direct battery voltage connection may damage the IPR valve), this tool requires no additional equipment. It replaces the IPR valve to fully seal the system without needing to command the valve closed, reducing tool investment and helping improve leak detection efficiency by minimizing interference from IPR valve leakage noise
- The hydraulic hose is made of high-standard rubber, paired with solid brass/stainless steel metal fittings for a tight, secure seal. Fittings feature CNC-machined precision threads for good hardness, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance, maintaining stable performance even with repeated professional use. Each tool includes three extra o-ring sets for the IPR fitting, providing backup parts for long-term use
- User-friendly design simplifies installation: remove the air cleaner, FICM, and coolant degas bottle (turbo removal is not required), take out the IPR valve, thread in the tool (hand-tightening via the hose is sufficient), connect shop air, and listen for leaks. For tiny leaks, close the integrated shutoff valve to seal the system. A scan tool can optionally be used to monitor air pressure via the ICP sensor—suitable for both professional mechanics and DIY enthusiasts
- Each package includes all components needed for high-pressure oil system IPR air testing: 1x hydraulic hose, 1x shutoff valve, 1x 6.0L IPR air test fitting, 1x 7.3L IPR test fitting, 1x air meter, 2x interconnectors, 3x copper washers, 1x instruction manual, 1x PTFE tape, and 1x T fitting. A complete solution that eliminates the need to source separate parts, ideal for pre-installation leak verification and post-disassembly testing
