- Replacement Coolant Control Valve - The coolant control valve plays an important role in the thermal management which includes the engine, cabin and e-machine of your 2nd Generation Prius. The coolant water valve is part of the coolant system that controls the coolant flow to your engine and sends coolant to three areas: the engine, the heater core and the coolant heat storage tank.
- Compatible replacement for Toyota PRius with 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 with the 1.5L engine. If your heater isn't working, coolant is leaking, low coolant levels with no leak, weird noises in the engine, rough idle, reduced perormance or the hood smells and feels strangely hot along with a P1121 code then you may have a problem with your heater control valve.
- Replaces Part# 16670-21010, 1667021010, 601-021, 601021 commonly found on popular 1.5L Hybrid Prius models including years 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09. The coolant contro valve can easily be located on the front driver side of the engine bay near the headlight and can be removed under or from the top if a few covers are removed. Draining and refilling the coolant will be necessary as removing the valve will release coolant as well.
